Esker Amateur Boxing Club

Welcome to Esker Amateur Boxing Club’s website. We are based in Lucan, County Dublin, Ireland. Esker ABC was formed in March 2012. Our President Emeritus Eddie Butler alongside Lucan Credit Union, Paddy Monaghan plus coaches funded the club with start up donations.

esker abc logoEsker ABC were initially based at St Anne’s National School from 2012-2014, then Goodwin’s Industrial Estate from 2014-2015 and we are now back in St Anne’s since January 2016. We have ambitious plans to build our own clubhouse in the very near future. A lot of work has gone into planning for our new clubhouse and we are confident we will be moving into a purpose built clubhouse very soon, fingers crossed!

At present we have 68 members ranging in age from 6 years old to 40 years of age. These are split into three distinct groups, Academy (Up to 10 years old), Junior (Beginners and up to 13 years old) and Senior (13 years old and up).

We believe that through the sport of boxing we offer an outlet in Lucan and its surrounding areas for young people to learn the sport of boxing in a safe environment and to develop their confidence and self esteem.

We have been very successful both inside and outside of the ring and hope to continue this into the future.

fr-boxcup11We are a completely voluntary, not for profit sports club.

All coaches and volunteers receive no monies to coach or volunteer with the club. Every cent coming into the club is used by Esker ABC solely.
